Central Technical DivisionDipl.-Ing. Niels Dürr has been part of Ed. Züblin AG for over 25 years and brings extensive technical expertise, leadership experience and a spirit of innovation to his role as a member of the Executive Board and Head of Central Technical Division.

After studying civil engineering, he joined ZÜBLIN directly in 1998 as a project engineer in the Technical Office. Since then, he has held numerous positions in the company and has continuously developed his career – most recently as Technical Director. Since January 1, 2025, he has been responsible for managing the Group-wide Central Technical Division together with Sabine Hahn.

Together with his wife and dog Alix, Niels Dürr enjoys exploring the great outdoors with his camper. After sporting activities – whether running, hiking or surfing – he enjoys relaxing with a glass of good wine while cooking.

He combines this down-to-earth attitude with a clear vision for the future of construction. In his new role, he stands for the technological development of the company and the implementation of pioneering construction concepts.

His career shows how individual development and entrepreneurial progress go hand in hand at ZÜBLIN. What sets ZÜBLIN apart for him are the more than 14,000 employees who give their best in different teams and make the company's success possible. He therefore sees inspiring and individually promoting young talent as a central and important task.

A look into the future

The construction industry is facing a profound change, which he sees as an opportunity: digitisation will revolutionise both planning and robotics on the construction site.
