For this, Ed. Züblin AG was the first company to be recognized by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).

Selected measures in the project

  • Finished parts

The extensive use of prefabricated parts (filigree slabs, stairs and beams) means that a shorter construction time can be achieved. The volume of waste is also reduced thanks to the prefabricated orders.

  • Saving resources and reducing emissions through LEAN Construction

The schedule/construction process was drawn up according to the principles of the lean method. The construction production planning is reviewed in detail on a weekly basis and updated if necessary. Changes to the construction process are taken into account on an ongoing basis and just-in-time deliveries can be better implemented. Repeat orders and new orders due to late changes to the plan are avoided.

  • Measures to prevent pollution from the construction site

The project is located in a residential area, so the impact of the construction site will be avoided or reduced as far as possible.

  • Regional companies and suppliers

Wherever possible, mainly regional companies and suppliers are used in order to reduce transportation and working distances.

  • Health and social affairs

The risk of accidents is reduced by the creation and application of comprehensive health and safety documents. They also help to maintain staff performance.

  • Waste management

An effective waste management system will be set up for the project. Targeted waste sorting and separation will take place on the construction site. This ensures that the resulting construction waste is properly disposed of and/or recycled.
