Straubing Town Hall
ZÜBLIN realizes the reconstruction of the historic town hall in Straubing after fire damage, commissioned by the city of Straubing.
Historic on the outside, modern on the inside.
The four-part building complex, some of which is more than 600 years old, was severely damaged by a fire in November 2016 and will now be restored to its usual appearance on the outside with its neo-Gothic façade from 1893, but will be extensively renovated on the inside to modern standards. In addition to two additional stairwells with an elevator and a foyer, the town hall will be given a third floor by converting the previously unused top floor into a meeting room for the town council. The city of Straubing has placed the planning and coordination of the overall project in the hands of the renowned architectural firm Hild und K; all trades will be successively put out to tender individually as construction progresses. In addition to the earthworks, archaeological investigations are being carried out on the historic building site, which will precede the shell construction work.
ZÜBLIN strengthens the load-bearing capacity of the town hall foundation
