Aindling fire station
Turnkey implementation as general contractor
On behalf of the market town of Aindling, Ed. Züblin AG, Augsburg division, realized the turnkey construction of the new Aindling fire station as general contractor. The scope of services comprised HOAI service phases 2 to 8, including design, approval and implementation planning.
The contract was awarded in August 2021 and the full planning was completed within a year. Construction began in August 2022 and was completed in November 2023. The building was put into operation by the Aindling volunteer fire department in December 2023.
The architectural design takes into account the existing topography of the site. By designing the rear upper floor as a ground-level plinth, the building blends harmoniously into its surroundings. Gabled roofs and a restrained façade design characterize the appearance, complemented by red accents with reference to its use as a fire station.
The new building was constructed to the energy-efficient KfW 55 standard. The sustainable building technology includes a photovoltaic system to generate its own electricity, a heat pump with energy recovery and a retention-capable green roof. In addition, an underground extinguishing water tank with rainwater retention was installed.
The functional structure of the building meets the requirements of a modern fire station. The vehicle hall is designed for six emergency vehicles and is supplemented by training, administration, social, workshop and storage rooms.
The new fire station is a future-proof and sustainably planned functional building that strengthens municipal fire protection in the long term and makes an important contribution to the public infrastructure of the market town of Aindling.
