Hotel PREMIER INN - Hamburg, St. Pauli

ZÜBLIN is building a modern hotel with 219 rooms, restaurants and small businesses on 11,600 m² gross floor area. The architecture with steel balcony elements and DGNB Silver certification combines sustainability with the typical St. Pauli style

From April 2019 to January 2021, ZÜBLIN, Direktion Nord, Schlüsselfertigiger Hochbau Hamburg/Mecklenburg-Vorpommern division, realized the new construction of the PREMIER INN am Dom hotel in Hamburg-St. Pauli on behalf of STRABAG Real Estate GmbH. The project closed a 2,600 m² gap between buildings and blends harmoniously into the lively neighborhood.

The hotel offers 219 rooms on four full floors and two staggered floors. There are three commercial spaces for restaurants and small businesses on the first floor. The total gross floor area is around 11,600 m². Underground parking spaces, technical rooms, storage areas, social rooms and two music rehearsal rooms are integrated in the basement. These facilities underline the cultural aspirations of the project.
The architecture makes a striking statement. The façade is characterized by steel external staircases that serve as balcony elements. This design picks up on the urban style of St. Pauli and gives the building an unmistakable identity. The interior design also follows the typical neighbourhood character and creates an authentic Hamburg experience.

The building was constructed using solid construction for high stability and sound insulation. The building meets the requirements for DGNB Silver certification and stands for sustainable building quality.

The Hotel am Dom is an architectural highlight that combines modern design, sustainability and cultural identity. The project contributes to the upgrading of the district and shows how inner-city construction projects can be successfully implemented.
