General refurbishment of a public building with 1,350 m² mullion-transom façade in timber construction - sophisticated construction in existing buildings with high prefabrication to EEG standard.
The general refurbishment of a public building was realized as part of a public tender. As the main contractor for the carpentry work, our company was responsible for the manufacture, delivery and installation of a high-quality construction made of timber frame elements in combination with a mullion and transom façade. The scope of work comprised around 1,350 m² of façade area, which was implemented in two above-ground storeys with a load-bearing timber construction.
The work was carried out under the demanding conditions of building in existing structures. A high degree of prefabrication was achieved: The timber frame construction elements were planked inside and out and delivered already fitted with windows and glazing. The design complied with the current EEG standard. On average, five skilled workers were continuously deployed on the construction site to ensure that everything ran smoothly.
