New construction of an ultra-modern 9-storey clinic in Hamburg in reinforced concrete skeleton construction with a gross floor area of approx. 24,000 m² and 250 beds with connection to the old building during ongoing operation. The contract included planning, turnkey construction including medical technology.
One of the largest specialist clinics for endoprosthetics, the insertion of artificial joints, was built on 7,500 m² of floor space. The new building includes a practice and admission center, a surgery center with eight operating theaters, an intensive care unit, an intermediate care unit (an intermediate stage between intensive care and normal care), eight nursing stations on four levels and teaching rooms.
The aluminum facades as ETICS with aluminum windows were designed with panels, mullion-transom constructions and as single windows. The air conditioning is supported by concrete core activation.
