Patient and research building, University Hospital, Ulm
A new patient and research building with a direct connection to an existing building was constructed on the grounds of Ulm University Hospital.
The construction project comprises the complete turnkey construction, including furnishing and equipment as well as the planning services LPH 5.
Due to the hillside location, the foundation in the lower building section (level 0) was designed as a load-bearing floor slab, in the higher building section (level 02) with jacket friction piles.
The 6 levels of the new building are accessed via two bed elevators and a staircase.
Level 0 houses the technical center, level 1 the outpatient day clinic, level 2 the on-call rooms and a bicycle cellar. Level 3 spans the fire department access road to the building complex, which together with level 4 houses 78 patient rooms. Level 5 is intended for office use.
The ventilation system for the office area on level 5 and a PV system are located on the roof.
