About us

Our Subdivision East employs over 600 people, half of whom work in the skilled trades. In addition to its headquarters in Leipzig, the Subdivision East has offices in Dresden, Freiberg, Erfurt, Jena and Bayreuth.

We realise construction projects of all sizes – from smaller projects to mega projects. Our services range from structural works to turnkey construction and include residential, commercial and hotel buildings as well as educational facilities, prisons and complex industrial projects.

Our main focus is on the planning and implementation of challenging construction projects. We rely on the TEAMCONCEPT^® model for successful partnering and are experts in building with the MOLENO^® serial timber hybrid construction system^.

We also specialise in planning and executing complex construction projects from a construction logistics perspective. With these core competencies, we have realised numerous important projects nationwide, even beyond the boundaries of our subdivision.

Our Units

With six locations in Saxony, Thuringia and Upper Franconia, our focus is clearly on the region. At the same time, we take on supra-regional special projects – such as new prison buildings – and bring our special expertise to bear here.

Bayreuth

Bayreuth

The Bayreuth division, based in Neudrossenfeld, realises construction projects in northern Bavaria. Around 80 employees, including a strong commercial team, implement building construction, turnkey construction and construction in existing buildings. Using state-of-the-art methods, high-performance technology and a high level of regional expertise, even complex projects are completed on time and to a high standard.

Erfurt

The Erfurt division stands for expertise in building construction and turnkey construction. With almost 80 employees, we realise projects of all sizes in Thuringia and throughout Germany – from structural works to turnkey residential, office, industrial or social construction as well as refurbishment. Our own craftsmen ensure high quality and flexibility. Innovative partnering models guarantee planning security and efficiency. We have already received two awards for our concepts for recruiting skilled workers and demographics.

Jena

Jena

The Jena division combines extensive expertise in building construction and takes on challenging projects as a general contractor – from modern school, commercial and community buildings to selected engineering structures. These include rainwater retention and water storage basins as well as the installation of elevator systems in historic buildings.

As a qualified partner of the "GDW Framework Agreement for Serial and Modular Construction 2.0", we are also proven experts in timber hybrid construction methods (MOLENO^®). With around 110 employees – including craftsmen and trainees – we realise construction projects from structural works to turnkey construction. Our range of services extends to the successful implementation of public-private partnerships (PPP) projects and guarantees reliable support throughout all project phases.

Leipzig

The Leipzig division realizes challenging construction projects in the greater Leipzig area. Our team of 40 employees covers structural works, turnkey construction and planning services and is expanding its range of services to include construction in existing buildings, renovations and serial and modular construction with MOLENO^®.

We are a competent partner for clients from the public and private sectors in residential construction, administrative construction, hotel construction, industrial construction and school construction. As a general contractor, we coordinate all project participants efficiently, secure deadlines and costs and guarantee on-time, high-quality implementation.

MOLENO

MOLENO

The Subdivision East has been a pioneer in building with our MOLENO^® hybrid timber construction system since 2015 and is driving serial construction forward with economic success and a strong network. In the GDW 2.0 framework agreement, the Jena division has assumed the leading role as a central source of knowledge and experience.

The new MOLENO^® division was launched on January 1, 2026 to further expand this strength. Based in Jena, the unit pools expertise for the North, East and South-East regions and develops serial, modular and systemic solutions for efficient, sustainable and future-oriented planning and construction.

Saxony

Based in Dresden, our team of over 350 employees realizes challenging construction projects, primarily in the Saxony region. Particularly strong: more than 150 of our own craftsmen ensure quality and efficiency. Our focus is on industrial and civil engineering, building construction, turnkey construction, residential construction as well as special and semiconductor plant construction.

With the TEAMCONCEPT approach, we coordinate projects reliably and in partnership. In addition, SF-Ausbau GmbH (SF-AUSBAU GmbH) in Freiberg has been providing support as a subsidiary for over 30 years in new construction, expansion and renovation – from heating, ventilation and sanitary facilities to painting and drywall construction to turnkey buildings.
